As part of the 2015 graduating class of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I was featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Lifestyle section. This article features a few of  the textile designs from my Effigy collection. The aesthetic of Effigy  aims to blend graphic style lines and simple silhouettes with a comfortable fit and feel.

I was invited to attend known as Bohemian Rhapsody at Pittsburgh’s Larrimor’s clothing store to celebrate the Pittsburgh Opera’s production of La Boheme. The evening was full of music, style and dance. The organizations staged a contest for the best dress attendee. The rules where quite simple – come dressed in your best Bohemian outfit. I was nominated and won the best dressed. I received tickets to the Pittsburgh Opera and a cash prize. My outfit was comprised my own styles, as well as Diane Von Furstenberg.

Internship 2014 – AIR | Artists Image Resource

During the summer of 2014, I participated in an internship with AIR | Artists Image Resource – a local non-profit screen printing group. I worked with their outreach project at the Rankin Christian Center where I assisted adolescents with learning how to screen print fabric. Here is a link to a few of the projects I worked on during my time there – http://www.artistsimageresource.org/2014-summer-interns/
